Mosasaur
Dinotopia
The Mosasaur was a large extinct marine reptile from the Late Cretaceous. This kind of aquatic lizard had a smooth, snakelike body with a big skull filled with around 40-50 sharp teeth inside a powerful jaw. With a bite force of over 13,000 psi, it was probably the most dominant sea predator of its time.
The largest known mosasaur can reach up to 17 metres in length, which is nearly thrice the size of the biggest great white shark.
Mosasaur was the apex predator in the prehistoric ocean. This top carnivore preyed upon ammonoids, cuttlefish and giant sea turtles.
